Easter Lunch Club

Full house with 42 attending the Easter Lunch Club on Monday 2nd April at the Annexe Cafe. On the menu was Farmhouse Soup, Butternut or Chorizo Frittata and salad, finished off with Easter ice cream. Lovely atmosphere with loads of chat going on with some folk turning up with their Easter bonnets on. A demonstration on how to create a makeshift Easter bonnet took place, too much hilarity. Thanks to Tony, Margaret, Greg and Angie for helping everything run smoothly.

After lunch 25 went through for the entertainment provided by a rat pack styled father and son double act of Joe and Mark Robb. Mark started off by smoozing the crowd with “I was told that this was an over 60’s and adult carer gig but you all look far too young!” Dad Joe sang some Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, while Mark entertained with his engaging personality, fun and laughter and his high kicking dance routines!

Floor spots from audience kept the entertainment lively with Violet singing Inverary Inn, Lettie singing “Easter Bonnet” and Partick Pluckers making an impromptu performance with guest member Mark Robb. Much fun and laughter was heard throughout the building with Joe and Mark doing themselves proud on their debut community gig together for the Annexe. Mark said “I really like what is going on in the Annexe for Partick, so I came along and volunteered to put something back into the community.” One audience member said “What a great singer Joe is and Mark should definitely be on the TV as a presenter, he’s great!”

Big thank you goes out to Joe and Mark for providing a memorable afternoon of fun and much laughter.
