Our staff and board

Core staff

Annexe Communities has a core staff team of a general manager, a finance and admin officer, a cafe cook and two centre assistants:

Widely experienced voluntary sector professional, responsible for day-to-day management, funding and strategic development.

Margaret Halliday, Partick Annexe Centre Assistant
Former volunteer who now maintains the Partick Annexe building and general services and assists with Connects2 project

Tony Osborne, Annexe Café Cook
Former volunteer and now in charge of daily café menus as well as organising weekly lunch clubs; winner of Healthy Eating Award Plus.

Raymond Kelly, Partick Annexe Centre Assistant
Centre Assistant who maintains the Partick Annexe building and general services and is our stained glass tutor

Project staff

Project staff are employed to run specific community projects. We currently have six project staff engaged on a mix of full-and part-time contracts:

Jane Cowie, Project Development Officer
Widely experienced community development specialist responsible for leading the Annexe Connects2 project.

Sandra MacDowell, Health & Wellbeing Officer
Outreach community development specialist responsible for health and well-being projects and community capacity building in Drumchapel.

Angela Wylie, PT Project Development Worker
Community development specialist working with the Annexe Connects2 in Partick. Also delivers complementary therapies.

Michele Keenan, Project Development Worker
Experienced Project Development and Volunteer Coordinator to the Annexe Connects2Project and health and well-being project development and coordination for Central and West Areas.

Louise Taylor, Health & Wellbeing Worker
Outreach health and well-being specialist responsible for community
capacity building initiatives and events facilitation in Easterhouse as part of Axis Health Hubs.
David Halliday, Community Food Worker
Experience food worker and former volunteer. Coordinates community
activities around reducing food waste, including lunch club

Tutors and volunteers

A pool of 22 qualified sessional staff ( voluntary and paid) are engaged as tutors to deliver specific services and activities such as art workshops, exercise classes, footcare, music workshops, cooking and complementary therapies.

Board of management

Annexe Communities' Board meets ten times per year and consists primarily of local resident members and professionals who work in the area. Sub-groups of directors sit on various management and development committees which meet at regular intervals.

Bill Waller, Chairman
Joined in 2010. Local resident and former development officer with a local housing association. Sits on the development sub group

Yvonne Duffy, Treasurer
Joined in 2014. Local resident and Annexe volunteer with an interest in health walks. Sits on the staffing sub group.

Dr Euan Easton, Director
Joined in 2006. Consultant psychiatrist, working locally in north west Glasgow. Sits on the staffing sub group.

Peter Taylor, Director
Joined in 2009. Local resident and retired community development consultant, also chair of local integration network. Sits on the development sub group.

Catriona Murray, Director
Joined in 2010. Local resident and former Annexe volunteer and works locally as a nurse. Sits on the staffing sub group.

John Galloway, Director
Joined in 2014. Local resident and retired photographer who now volunteers as the Annexe resident photographer. Sits on the development sub group.

Cathie Connelly
Joined in 2017. Retired comunnity education officer and local resident. Paticipant of Connects2. Sits on the development sub group.
